RECOVERY SUPPORT SERVICES

Recovery Support Services, LLC, was founded in 2003 by Ron Armstrong as a natural outgrowth of his own commitment to recovery, which dates back to 1986.

Ron co-facilitated his first intervention in 1988 during the early stages of his own sobriety. After that, with the help of his friend and mentor, Dr. James Fearing, he planned and assisted in many interventions until 1996, when Dr. Fearing asked Ron to join him full-time professionally in helping individuals and families in crisis. Two years later, he became the Director of Intervention Services for Dr. Fearing’s Minnesota-based organization—National Counseling Intervention Services.

In 2000, Ron formed his own company—Armstrong Intervention Services. Over the years, working with a number of highly regarded treatment centers and therapists across the country and with individuals from all walks of life, Ron has earned a reputation for excellence. In the fall of 2002, Ron was recognized by the Betty Ford Center as one of the top five interventionists in the country.

In the course of his work, Ron recognized the need for additional, affordable daily support that could reach beyond the primary treatment experience. He decided to utilize the accessibility of the Internet and apply his experience as a successful interventionist to develop the RSS Model®—an educational, experiential, monitored strategy for continuing care and recovery from addictive behaviors.

Recovery Support Services is located in Los Angeles, California, but is available to anyone with an Internet connection. One of the most important aspects of the RSS Program—and part of what makes it unique—is the daily connection our clients have with it. The Internet makes the connection possible—from any location, twenty-four-hours-a-day.
